First and foremost, I want to thank each and every one of you out there who has shared my blog onto forums! This is really exciting for me and warms my heart to know that people are actually paying attention! That being said, I promise to update more often as I have slacked this holiday season!

Alright! Let’s get down to business and talk about Mr. Cheeks and his 15 Month Development so far!

Cheeks is developing normally and hitting his milestones like a champ! I can’t express enough to new parents of XXY to allow your child to develop on his own and trust that they will. He is almost too smart for his own good. It scares me sometimes.

The other night while I was gone, B told me that he had taken a plug and tried to plug it in the wall (luckily we had them all baby proofed), but I was floored that he knew exactly what to do!

Cheeks isn’t really saying words at the moment, but boy does he talk. His babble is quite hilarious. Don’t let his lack of words fool you though, this kid knows what he is talking about! He has a specific grunt for.. ‘what’s this?’ and we tell him… and he understands. I’m dreading the day he can actually say it…..

He is fiddling with sounds at the moment… banging everything, pushing, pulling, he wants to hear the sounds. We had the joy of spending 10 minutes last night while he banged the baby gate we have blocking the TV against the TV stand…. not so harmonious, but he needs to hear it.

We have a neighbor dog who sits on a shed and patrols the neighborhood. He’s an old dog that never barks… Cheeks has become very fond and curious about this dog. Any time he hears one of the surrounding dogs bark, he runs to the door and wants to know whats going on with the old one. It’s very cute. He is very concerned.

He is still having a couple of stimming episodes, but nothing crazy for a baby. We are still keeping an eye on it, but it doesn’t concern me one bit.

All in all guys, he is doing just fine! There have been no raised flags or issues what so ever. He is a baby and doing baby things!
